Real Value

What is your real value? Is it in what you give or what you get? Or is it the value you place on yourself or the value others place on you? What is your value if you seek to earn money and make a living?

Real Value

It is more blessed to give than receive:

JFK said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”

Jesus said “It is more blessed to give than receive.”

Zig Ziglar said, “You can have everything you want if you help enough people get what they want.”

The list could go on and on. What all these leaders are trying to teach us is that value is in giving. Real Value is giving not getting. What is funny about that, is that when you are focused on giving, you will end up getting a lot more.

As the year is ending and we are focused on the “Season of Giving” I thought I would make mention of this value principle.

Who do you Trust?

Naturally you will want to do business. This may be online or in person. And this may be a situation where you are buying or you may be selling. So who do you trust?

If you are a seller, you want to be the trusted.

So who do you trust? Is it not the people that have given you real value through the years? Don’t you trust the people that have proven themselves through the years?

I usually trust someone who has given me real value. It is easy to trust someone who has done right by you. If you are losing weight, then the person who gave you the good advice is trustworthy.

Therefore if you are not meeting your goals, then you know you got bad advice. You won’t trust the person who steered you in the wrong direction. You will look for someone with a proven track record.

For me, in online marketing, I trust the people with detailed blogs or helpful YouTube videos. If they give away some great value material, I naturally believe their paid courses will be even more.

What Real Value are you giving?

So if you take the two principles how do you increase your success?

When you have bought online, or even in person, who did you go to? I go to someone that I can trust. This may be from reviews or from personal experience. Then I look at the value.

Do they provide greater customer service than the competitors? Or do they provide a product that will last longer? Does it help me accomplish my goal?

So, if you are the seller, how you can succeed? Give value to your customers. I am not saying you have to give a ton of stuff away. It does help if you help them. I find helping people with small issues in Facebook groups helps establish the relationship.

If you give some value to people all around you, they will look for you when hey want to buy something in you industry.

CONCLUSION:

Give value. Be focused on giving instead of getting. If you want to get a higher wage, you need to show your boss you have more value than what you have been paid.

Be the person that is so focused on helping and providing value to others that the compensation is secondary. You will achieve more every time with this attitude and gratitude for what you have. Happy Holidays 🙂
